Braid is being ported to the Xbox Live Arcade!!!
I wonder if it'll be ported to the PlayStation Network...
Well, it looks like gaming companies are now paying a lot more attention to independent developers than ever before, especially because of the ability to download these titles!
flOw, Everyday Shooter, and now Braid! |

I know... I'm just surprised that I haven't played the version that's out now, because I've been wanting to play it for a long time...
So, is there any chance of it ending up on PSN, or was it funded my MS? |

| It was independently funded by Jon Blow, but I don't know the details of his arrangement with XBLA. |

| I suspect that Jon isn't allowed to put it on PSN. However, I could be wrong. |

My deal with XBLA involves a limited-time exclusivity. But, in the grand scheme of things, the period of limitation isn't too long.
When that time expires it is a possibility that I would bring the game to the PS3. But of course that depends on a lot of things (for example, Sony wanting it). Also -- it would be significant work, and I might just want to be working on a new game by then, because I have been doing Braid for a long time.
But, we'll see! I definitely have no desire to keep the game away from PS3 owners, it's just more a matter of the realities of how much work it is to release a game on a console platform. |

But, what if I say PWEEEZE?
It's great to hear from you on the forums!
If you don't have enough time to make Braid on the PS3, you should at least try to get your next game on the PS3 (as well as 360 if MS wants you to) and/or you should get Sony to get people to help you bring it to the PS3 (like with flOw). |

| I guess I'm really behind the times, but I bought Braid on Steam a few days ago. It's so good! What fiendish puzzles! Really imaginative and well executed. |

I'm thinking of buying Braid on Steam, but I just don't play PC games very much, and I'm going to buy Castles II (I used to play this all the time on the computer my uncle gave us when I was younger), so I won't have much time on other PC games when I get Castles II. |

I'm pretty sure one of SVS's owners was/is a big fan of Castles II, but I haven't played it myself.
Anyway, Braid is well worth your time and money (it was $15 when I bought it). |

| Agreed - I've played Braid on both platforms, and the PC version is just as engaging! |
